Abstract

I don’t have work in progress to show yet, but I plan on doing something similar to this video I found which was done by a student for his MFA project.

This video shows the interaction between person and object to gain information that would normally be found through an online media. For my project, I plan to make a video that shows how social media can be used by a person without being in front of a computer, and while they are in a public area.

The video will show how something wearable can project a social status of that person. This allows the person to publicly share his or her thought non-verbally. This keeps the aspect of social media being the “least social form of communication,” but allows that person to interact with other people at the same time.
